Listening in Primary School – The Connection Between Listening, Comprehension and Expressive Reading

Oral message reception is a basic component of oral communication. It has significant importance in society, due to its traditional function as means learning. Not knowing how listen an obstacle not only for personal development and harmonious interpersonal relationships, but also one influencing the formation other communication skills. There tendency consider listening "role" or skill already formed at beginning school years. Nowadays, it being explored process which includes cognitive, affective behavioral aspects. M. Imhof (Imhof, 2008) analyzes quantitative qualitative issues tasks primary German education. The results show average time 27 minutes out 45 minutes, duration class, represents 60% time. As sources, these are: teacher (53% time, i.e. 14.3 minutes), others classmates (41%, 11.1 minutes) media sources (6%, 1.6 minutes). curriculum Communication Romanian / language literature within organized areas (oral written) skills (text production), making study compatible with that foreign languages into same curricular area. Textbooks teaching tools less reflect this organization, focusing on written text production, ignoring role listening. main purpose paper derives from obvious activities, school, taking consideration current educational context concerns regarding reduction functional illiteracy phenomenon. Listening activities can, some circumstances, facilitate new vocabulary acquisition, support consistent complete mental scheme narrative text. They can offer patterns verbal, nonverbal paraverbal expressions, stir feelings attachment towards reading books. quality depends both receiver sender, classes double determination must be looked very carefully . are landmark studies investigate native young age. This aspect encourages generates knowledge development, present incorporates what internationally known offers better perspectives classes.
